About us

The portal was conceptualised by Mr. Madhusudan Ray who is an engineer graduated from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in 1972 and worked in varrious capacities as officer of State Bank of India. With his experience as engineer, banker, designer and traveller, Mr. Ray has translated his concept to reality by hosting and editing the portal for the tourists in India. The portal is managed by M/s. Array Mediagraphics & Systems under the leadership of Mr. Ray with the assistance of his son Mr. Arnab Ray, BE(Hons.), MBA, a Business Consultant & Entrepreneur.

Initially this portal was launched in the name of www.tourindia35.com and now it has been published as www.indianguidebook.com with more features and readers friendly links. This portal is for information only and dedicated to tourism in India and does not book any hotel but assist in booking through Array Tours (www.arraytours.com). India is so vast country that it is extremely difficult for a domestic or foreign tourist to have detailed information about a place and finally decide his action points before commencement of travel. This portal attempts to provide a complete, updated and useful tourism data for the tourists. Since, the information pertaining to the hotels at any place is equally important, a list of hotels has been annexed to each article of the tourist places. The names with brief particulars of the hotels incorporated in the lists are on the basis of the information furnished by the respective hotel management. Further, the editor of this portal is not responsible for the quality of the hotel enlisted.

Regarding booking of some hotels whose names have been appeared in the list, is done through Array Tours (www.arraytours.com). In such case, the interested persons are to contact Array Tours for eventual actions. The hotels enlisted by ArrayTours are selected as per separate policy decisions keeping in view of the guest’s satisfaction.
